Forgot to file your Tax Return? This could be costing you up to £10 per day!
Did you file your tax return on time?
If not – read on. You may think it’s safe to ignore HMRC’s letters – but if you haven’t filed last year’s tax return it’s about to start becoming a lot more expensive.
Your tax return was due on 31 January. As that is now more than 3 month’s past, each day you are late now costs you £10 per day. And if you leave this to 31 July, you will get hit with a double whammy – 5% of your tax bill. AND if you haven’t paid all your tax a further 5% of the tax outstanding.
